Who can file 1040A or 1040EZ?
1040EZ is only needed in the following condition:
• Your status is single or married
• You have no dependents
• You and your spouse are under 65 years old and not blind in the years end
• You are paying all the government wages and taxes and your Tax Interest is not over S1, 500
• S10, 000 is your taxable income
• You are not receiving any income credit payments
• You do not have any employee at home or you are not paying for a home employee's tax
• You are not receiving deduction of student's loan interest, and tuition fees
• You are receiving the following credits, health coverage tax and retirement contribution savings.
If you cannot file 1040EZ, you are able to file 1040A
• You are only receiving income from wages, tips, taxable scholarships and fellowships, salaries, interest, ordinary dividends, annuities, IRAs, capital gain distribution, pensions, unemployment compensations and taxable social security.
• You have a less than S100, 000 taxable income
• Your deduction is not itemized
• The only adjustment income you can received are, the student loan interest deduction, tuition fee deductions, IRA deduction and educator expenses.
